quiet house studio was founded by Katy Goodell, a board-certified health and wellness coach.

It is a place to slow down. To notice what matters. To thoughtfully cultivate a life that feels deeply your own.

My interest in health and wellbeing began years ago after the birth of my first child. As a stay-at-home mother raising three children, I was also trying to understand what it meant to create a meaningful life—not only for my family, but for myself.

The path wasn't linear. I worked in a flower shop, studied nutrition and psychology, decorated homes, and sought out creative projects whenever I could. With limited resources, creativity became a way of solving problems and making our home feel beautiful, welcoming, and deeply our own.

At the time, I didn't realize these interests were connected.

In 2017, I studied at Duke Integrative Medicine and became a board-certified health and wellness coach. That experience gave language to something I had been discovering for years: our homes, habits, relationships, creativity, and the way we care for ourselves aren't separate. They shape one another.

Along the way, I taught myself to garden and transformed our backyard. I learned to sew and made blankets for my family. Approaching fifty, I discovered running and went on to complete six half marathons. These weren't about achievement so much as learning, growing, and paying attention.

Eventually, I realized I had been cultivating a way of living all along—through books, gardens, flowers, rituals, creativity, and the thoughtful shaping of home.

That philosophy became Quiet House Studio.

I don't believe there is one definition of a well-lived life, or that I'm the expert on yours. I'm a student of what it means to live well and a guide alongside women asking similar questions.

My hope is to offer a place to slow down, notice what matters, and create a life that feels deeply your own.
